Perspective on integration of concentrated solar power plants

Abstract Integration concept of energy resources can complement between the competing technologies. This manuscript presents a comprehensive review on state-of-the-art concentrated solar power (CSP) integration technology with various sources. Compared to CSP alone, and fossil fuel provides promising solution intermittence, emissions installation cost reduction, 25% increase in electric generation. On other hand, sources such as geothermal biomass supply dispatchable almost zero emissions. The electricity produced via integrated photovoltaic (PV) has better quality less compared that by PV alone or respectively. wind meet peak demand, reduce fluctuation provide electrical at high capacity factor. However, lack reliable biomass, data availability specific locations is main obstacle for acceptance further deployment hybridization systems. advantages limitations hybrid technologies presented this paper according literature are reviewed. Moreover, future directions production hydrogen, solid particles receivers supercritical carbon dioxide cycle also discussed.
